Comments: I am so glad to see this site. I have to share with my sister. I was there for only one summer, but it is one I will never forget! (Cabin 1 - 1966?) My sister was a junior counselor that year. She also was able to camp a number of years. Unfortunately, once Ms. Gresham died our parents never sent us back. Thank you for bringing back those wonderful memories! |

Comments: I attended camp in 1994. My mom was the camp nurse at the time, some of you may remember her, Brenda Burkholder. Even though I didn't stay over night at camp, I still have fond memories of the time I spent there. |

Comments: Thank you for the site. I am came across this site as I was looking for a camp for my own daughters. The experiences and memories from Camp Appy 1980-1988 have been a great part of my life. I hope I can find a camp to give my daughters the same wonderful experiences. |

Comments: Thank you so much for this site. I was an Appy camper from 74-81. I have been actively looking for Camp Appalachia for the past 15 months and was thrilled when I found it. I often tell my daughter stories of camp and they know many of the songs. I loved camp and was glad that my parents let me go. I fondly think of summer days in cabins 4-9. Hatfields forever! |

| like Susan already said.... all 3 Stone girls followed in our mother's footsteps -- 10 yrs for me between 70-79 and again in 86. My 15 yr old daughter just spent her 7th yr at Camp Rim Rock (since Appy wasn't an option). Would love to connect with old friends (I see several here) |

| I happened upon this site and was very sorry to discover that the camp no longer exists. I was excited to read the names of a few names of people that had camped during my two years 1973 and 1974 and residing in Cabin Ten. What has happened to the camp now? |

| We are so glad to hear about this website, even though it wasn't in time for the 2004 reunion. My mother, Lysbeth Kaye Stone, was a Charter Member camper, a counselor, and eventually the mother of 3 Appy girls. We lived in Texas but 'grew up' during those Virginia summers. I was a camper for 7 years (1970-1976) and a counselor in '77 (tennis) and '79(drama). I am now a radio personality in Bowling...(trimmed) |
