Calling all Appy Alumni!
Campers, counselors, kitchen and maintenance staff! Nurses, office
aides, crafts lodge mice! We are hosting yet another fabulous
reunion and hope you can come!
June 28th and 29th
Lake Moomaw, Cole’s Point Shelter #2 at Gathright Dam in
Covington , Virginia
Although we will not be able to sleep at Camp, we will be able
to spend some planned, organized time there. We will carpool from
Cole’s Point down to Camp to reduce the number of vehicles
that drive onto the property.
Children 12 and older $15
Children under 12 – no charge
Directions to Lake Moomaw:
Exit 16A from I-64 to US220 North for 5.6 miles. Left
on Route 687 for 3.2 miles. Left on SR 641/666 North for 4.2 miles.
At the 3-way intersection, follow signs to Cole’s Point.
You will drive over Gathright Dam. Go uphill and it is the first
shelter on the left. If you follow signs for Cole’s Point
you will make it there. The number for the Forest Service is 540-962-2214
in case you get lost.
The closest airport is Roanoke
Regional Airport and train station is Clifton
We encourage carpooling! If you are interested in traveling with
another camper from your area, please email Bethless8@hotmail.com.
We will also be organizing carpooling from the Cole’s Point
down to Camp to reduce the number of vehicles that drive onto
Campsites are available at the Morris
Hill Campground. Email Angie at email@example.com
if you are interested in camping so that she can determine if
we should reserve a group site ($35 per site) or individual sites
($10 per site).
For those who want a bed and AC, hotels and B&Bs are available

A group of former campers are unofficially meeting at Cucci’s
Pizzeria on Rt. 220.
2008 reunion t-shirts NOW!
This year's t-shirts will only be available online and will NOT
be available at the reunion. Profits help send-a-girl-to-camp
and also go toward the administration of our website, so get yours

Reusable water bottle
1 pair long pants and something warm for campfire
Special memory to share at campfire
Special poetry books, photos, scrapbooks
Citronella torches or tiki candles if you have them
Two pairs white shorts (just kidding)

Informally, a group will meet at Cucci’s Pizzeria if you
would like to join others for dinner! It is located at 562 East
Madison Avenue. The number is 540-962-3964.
Saturday June 28th
10am – Check-in and welcome
11am – Catch up with old friends, look at scrapbooks and
12pm – Lunch (provided)
1:00pm - Camp tour (waiver must be signed by all at check-in)
2:00pm - Hatfield/McCoy meet
3:30pm – Free swim, water break
4:30 – 5:00pm: Memorial at Cairn/Young children’s
activity and refreshments
6:00pm – Dinner (provided)
7:00pm - songs/story telling
8:00pm - campfire
Sunday June 29th:
9am – Breakfast (provided)
10am - Reunion pictures
11am - Closing activities
12pm – Aloha
